Why it is hard for non- native english speakers to speak english with neutral accent ?

Hello Everyone,
Here I am writing the reasons due to which the speakers of english as a second language, feel difficulty while speaking english fluently with neutral accent.
The level of comfort with any language depends on the duration of time for which, one is using it. Moreover, pronouncing a word with neutral accent depends on how clearly you understand and speak the phonemes of that particular language.[ To learn phonemes click here ]

The major cause why the non-native speakers feels it challenging, is the avoidance of the natural process of learning. viz. when a child start to learn its first language, then firstly, he listens the parents and surroundings and then he try to imiatate them. After that he learns how to read and then  how to write. So , the natural process undergoes, Listening > Speaking > Reading > Writng.
But, When we learn a second language, then first we start learning alphabet, i.e reading then writing then listening and at last speaking. Thats why ,we face challenges.

One another important reason is when we start learning second language, then we do not interpret it by itself, but what we do is, to translate it in our native language, and then understand it, so as we go along, we develop a habit to speak not in the same sequence in which the ideas come in our mind, and in any conversation, we first translate the interlocutor's sentences into our native language, then think the reply in the same language, then translate it into english, and then we speak. This extra time for translation can easily be seen by the stemmering like 'umm..., unn...etc'. So, to remove such defects, we need to start thinking in english. As we start thinking in english, then the translation process stops automatically.

The next thing is not practising the english phonemes, the lack of konwledge of english sounds, makes learners to round any word which does not belong to their own language into the nearest matching sound of their own language, and here the imperfection can be seen easily. e.g in Hindi their is no sound like 'θ' ,(in which toungue moves between teeth in a serpentine motion), so they just round it to ('th' थ ) and by doing so,      they are said to be speaking english with an Indian accent. So, to learn english, the basic need is to learn the sounds of it.

So, To be perfect start by first learnig phonemes, start thinking in english and start by listening, watch BBC (for british) or CNN (for american) news, and watch how they move their mouth while speaking and then imitate them by speaking, record your voice while speaking, if possible, and then listen it later and find where you have done mistakes.
